When I touch the accelerator pedal the ATP drops to 21%, even got down to 18% once. Using the OBDWiz and scanner (key ON) I can see the "Absolute Throttle Position" (ATP) is 36.75% when the fault is active (MIL). He cleaned and reattached the Negative to a new location.Īt least that problem has been found and likely resolved for now. The Auto Electrican said he also found the battery had leaked and corroded some of the wiring loom under the battery box. So the Auto Electrician said he couldn't measure the voltage into the Throttle Body Position Sensor connection until the voltage into the TBP sensor was stable Said the voltage going into the TB was not stable, dropped in and out. I took to an auto electrician for them to test the voltages to and from the Throttle Body and the Pedal. Looks like the last people used silicone to reseal the gasket. Either someone did this or bought a new or replacement one. I was prepared to find a dirty TB which needed cleaning. I visually removed and refitted the Throttle Body and it looks really clean.
